Baby Skylar 30 Weeks

This was taken this morning at Overlake hospital. It is estimated to be 30 weeks. You can see Skylar's feet and face really well. We are excited to see him in person soon.

New Home and School

Things have been pretty crazy the past year with lots of new changes and great news. The best news is the new addition to our family making his debut this December: our second son Skylar! Both Julie and I couldn't be happier. The next great bit of news is I am continuing my postponed computer Animation degree at The Art Institute of Seattle starting this October, and as such we have moved to Bellevue Washington. We are just about settled in after a week of being here. The new house had Brenden's approval within the first 5 minutes. He loves the open spaces, yard, and local park, library, and seeing his grandpa Finch and uncle Chris.

These are some pictures from 2 weeks ago when we, Laura's family, and ken and Cherrie went to Lincoln Beach Oregon and stayed in a beach house for a few days. Brenden loved it and didn't want to leave.

These pictures are from last Saturday when we went to Alkai Beach in Seattle with my Dad. Brenden fed seagulls, dug in the sand, and wanted to be buried in it as well. We might do the latter part at a future time...up to his waist at least.

This was Friday night at Jon and Laura's Trunk or Treat at their Ward. Brenden's costume this year was Thomas the Train. He loves the show and picked this out himself at a store and ran up to it as soon as he saw it. He loved saying trick or treat at every car and was very polite and said thank you each time he was given candy.
This was yesterday at Quail Hollow retirement home. The had games and crafts for Halloween.
He said he wanted a pumpkin painted on his face. He just loves pumpkins.
This morning me and Brenden sat at the table and I asked him what he wanted me to paint on the pumpkin. He said Curious George and Finding Nemo, so I painted both, one on each side.

This is the classic Brenden pose when drinking. Ever since he was born, he liked to hold Julie's hair. But when I would hold him and feed him his bottle, I didn't have long hair to hold onto, so he's since then comforted himself by holding his own hair when he drinks.
This Friday we went to the Mercantile farm outside of Pasco and took Brenden there to the pumpkin patch. They had a petting zoo, corn maze, rides, and hay bales stacked like a pyramid. He loves riding the merry go round and said ride the horse.

This was the hayride to the pumkin patch there. He called it the green train because there was a blue train ride tractor as well and drove by us while we were riding the hayride.

Last weekend we went to visit my dad and took Brenden to the Childrens museum. They had all sorts of fun stuff for kids to play with. He knew all of the characters in the Clifford exhibit and said that's T-Bone right away.

There was a construction area to where you could dress up and actually build things with wood, screws and other things. His favorite part was the yellow hat he said, like the man in the yellow hat from Curious George.
He loved playing grocery store there too. He went all around the store and filled up his cart with everything he could grab.
Then he handed them to me to scan and check out. Some of the can goods and things actually could be scanned and show up on the monitor at the checkout stand.
This was his most favorite exhibit there at the museum. The Clifford section with a huge Clifford! He ran straight up to it and said Emily Elizabeth and Clifford. He gave her the bone to give to Clifford, it was too high to reach him.
Clifford was so big, his tail is made into a slide, which Brenden took advantage of.
The most time he spent was reading Clifford books from off a nearby shelf. His favorite spot to sit and read to himself was Clifford's front paw.
Grandpa Finch helped lift him up to feed Clifford a bone.
Then grandpa sat Brenden on top of Emily Elizabeth's head.
This is him exploring the play forest area of the Children's museum. He crawled in this huge log and popped out of the middle where there was a hole and said boo daddy!
He's pretending to take a nap in the tent at the camping area.
This is inside a huge whale they had there.
One of his favorite things to do is look at fish. He always says he wants to hold them.

This is one of his favorite toys: James the engine from Thomas and friends. It's a lego build character and he loves taking it apart and putting it back together again.

This was at the Children's museum in Seattle we went to last week with my Dad and he saw this first and ran up to it and gave the giant pumpkin a big hug. His favorite thing about Halloween I think is the pumpkins...and the candy. Today he told us that he loved candy and was running around saying he loved candy over and over again.


He was very tired, he had walked around the mall with us for quite some time and then we ate lunch and by the time we drove home, he was out.
